The company

Machworx was founded in 2010. A good friend of mine, Aad van Noort, introduced me to Mr Bert Weever. At the time he was looking for a draughtsman to draw up plans for a replica of an old crane in the city of  Middelburg, with the aim of returning it to the quay in Kampen. Entrepreneur Weever encouraged and inspired me to start my own business. So I took the plunge, and within three months I’d already hired my first employee, working from the attic of my house.

This soon became too small, so we opened our first office. Nine months later, we had outgrown that too, and we moved into larger premises where we could also start manufacturing. Thirteen years later, we moved to our current location in IJsselmuiden, where we are still happily based today. It is with great pleasure and dedication that we create the finest products here.
